The SMS for Local Shipping Management Staff was introduced with effect from 1 October 2006. The scheme provides Management staff from shipping companies participating SMS with complimentary health screening at the Seacare Maritime Medical Centre (SMMC) located at 165 Tanjong Pagar Road #04-19 The Amara Singapore 088539. Then, on 1 April 2008, the scheme was made attractive by providing complimentary comprehensive eye examination at the New Optometry & Ocular Care Centre (NOOCC) located at 300 Margaret Drive, Singapore 149302.
